Wellbeing

Well-being extends the traditional understanding of “health” to include all living conditions that contribute to a person’s happiness and sense of fulfillment. While physical vitality is certainly important, positive mental, social, and emotional states are also integral to well-being. The daily choices a person makes, in addition to their life circumstances, generally determine their quality of life. Constructive activities, like spending time with loved ones, and positive living conditions, such as stable employment, generally enhance well-being. Ultimately, however, well-being is determined by an individual’s satisfaction with their daily life.
