Participatory City works with community members to build and test local projects with the goal of improving the well-being of both individuals as well as their neighbors. Participatory City was built upon the idea that increasing participation of community members in daily activities transforms boroughs and the welfare of their citizens for the better. The foundation is currently running a pilot project in a borough of London, with a five-year-plan to foster and grow a network of 250 projects and 100 new businesses in the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham--giving 25,000 individuals the chance to be active participants in their communities.
