Where can you go to find out more about your potential career options, besides tbd* of course? Careers conferences and jobs fairs are an ideal chance to find inspiration, networking opportunities, or even your dream job. There are plenty of varied conferences during all times of year across the UK but we’ve put together a few to look out for in particular:

Social Impact Careers Conference

Imagine a one day conference dedicated to connecting seekers of employment with companies and organisations who consistently deliver positive social impact. The Social Impact Careers Conference, hosted by Oxford’s Saïd Business School includes a career fair and structured networking.

Emerge Conference

The Emerge Conference is also hosted by the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School and is a fantastic learning opportunity to hear about the latest social business innovations and policy making. Filled with panels and opportunities for discussion, this conference could be a good networking opportunity for you or your business.

Marmalade

Marmalade is a conference which occurs annually in Oxford for people who have a social or environmental challenge they would like to address. Through a series of workshops and discussion sessions, Marmalade aims to push forward action through connection building and idea sharing.

Bond Conference

This two-day event includes inspiring speakers, top development organisations and the Bond International Development Awards, which celebrate the sector’s inspiring people and achievements. The sessions are divided into six strands: connect, fund, impact, influence, lead and operate.

London Job Show

Looking for a more general show to either exhibit your company or find a career opportunity. This show may not exclusively specialise in social enterprise but you can certainly find these types of jobs present. And if you are representing a social business/organisation, why not join the London community in showing off your fantastic mission at the London Job Show!

Summer Grad Fair

This event is a one stop shop for making sure recent grads are prepared for applying to jobs and expressing what their desires in a career are to potential employers. Entry is free and why wouldn’t anyone. This fair doesn’t directly pertain to social impact but attendees can use the immense resource network there to find careers with meaning.

FutureFest

Nesta presents FutureFest, one of Europe's largest festivals of the future. At this event you will get a peak at some of the newest technologies and innovations being worked on around the world. The festival also covers the topics of creative economy & culture, education, government innovation, health, innovation policy, and futurescoping.
