Our guiding theme "Inspiring people. Shaping the future." includes the content and objectives of the projects we are working on at the Bertelsmann Stiftung. Only people capable of action and a society that offers equal opportunities to all citizens can make participation possible.
With our work, we aim to meet the challenges of globalization, digitalization, the development of a knowledge-based society, demographic change and growing social inequality among the population. Our achievements should enable people to strengthen society and to develop new strategies within their systems.
Mankind is at the center of our work. Participation must be ensured for all people – our project achievements provide the knowledge, necessary competences and problem-solving strategies to do so.
