GreenTec Capital GmbH is growing its portfolio of start-ups operating on the African continent and is looking for a Financial Controller/Accountant. The focus of responsibilities will be to manage and coordinate GreenTec’s and its subsidiaries accounts and financial statements – specially to ensure the transparency between for-profit and non-profit entities. Additionally, you will engage with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of financial reporting targets.

GreenTec Capital GmbH is going through a very high growth curve and we are looking for someone who will be able to hit the ground running and has a very proactive work ethic.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Analysis and control of monthly financial results

  • Execution of reminder and payment runs reconciliations

  • Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB

  • Collaboration on financial projects as well as independent processing of subprojects

  • Financial controlling for the management of the subsidiary company

  • Working closely with our external accounting firm

Qualifications & Experience

  • Apprenticeship (“Ausbildung”) with at least 3 years working experience OR a bachelor’sdegree in Business and Accounting with at least 1 year working experience

  • Knowledge of national and international accounting practices

  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate well with internal and external stakeholders

  • Team player and great collaborator

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Fluent Business English and German (French would be advantageous but not a must)

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) are essential.

  • Experience working in a non-profit entity (e.g. gGmbH) advantageous

Working conditions

The position will be based in Frankfurt, Germany. You will report directly to Thomas Festerling, CFO of GreenTec Capital. Remuneration to be discussed with CFO.
