Are you interested in enhancing and further developing the current reporting – both external and internal – for an internationally growing NGO? We are looking for a reporting and editing expert who has a proven track record in this regard, possesses excellent writing and editing skills and ideally has work experiences in different sectors (public, private, civil society, Academia). enpact is operating multiple projects in the field of international development, with a focus on fostering strong and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystems. Due to its increased portfolio and the growing network of partners, alumni and stakeholders, an assessment and realignment of the current reporting system for the complete set of activities are necessary.

About enpact

The non-profit organisation enpact e.V. was founded in 2013 and includes five fields of activities:

  • Innovative mentoring programs,
  • Creation of multi-faceted startup spaces
  • Analysis of the startup friendliness of cities worldwide
  • Organisation of entrepreneurial ecosystem expeditions
  • Capacity building and training

The geographical focus of our work is on Africa, the Middle East and Europe, while enpact is currently also expanding towards Latin America and Asia. Wherever active, enpact works closely with relevant actors of the ecosystems in all of its project countries.

Who we are looking for

As the reporting expert you report directly to the management in Germany. The primary focus of the role is to create, drive, monitor and continuously develop the reporting systems for the different products and programmes enpact is offering. You serve as a sparring partner to the directors of the different business areas and support the development of accurate, reliable and usable reports for the different programmes. It is expected that - with the necessary input by the different heads of programmes - you autonomously manage and implement the reporting of simultaneously implemented projects.

As an add-on you are also supporting fundraising efforts by identifying relevant indicators for donors and stakeholders, that enpact should include into future activities and support in writing/editing project proposals. Also, you are expected to contribute to the discussion on how enpact can best apply its own developed R tool for the assessment of urban startup ecosystems – the startup meter – to transparently showcase its own (and others) endeavors and their impact in the respective sectors.

Skills required

You have a track record in managing and implementing reporting and editing activities in a similarly complex and growing organisation. You have a deep understanding and an appreciation of best practices in reporting and editing, ideally from a non-profit organisation topped with experiences from another sector. You are a strategic thinker and a team player, that is capable to critically question the status quo. You are interested in entrepreneurship and the startup scene. You have a minimum of 7 years professional experience.
