Careers in non-profit organizations differ from those in private enterprises or in the public service. The non-profit sector offers career opportunities to persons with different professional backgrounds: as a managing director of a foundation, as a head of an institution in the social and cultural sector or in the management of an international organization.
Beside personal commitment as well as organizational skills, the work in non-profit organizations requires specialized know-how and management competencies.
The master program “Nonprofit-Management and Governance” of the University of Münster trains students in management techniques that can be used in the personnel and voluntary work as well as in the field of public relations and prepares participants for a management position in the social, cultural as well as non-profit sector.
